So..my brother's kids

On Saturday my mom and Allen go to court to see if they can be given fostership and potential legal custody of my brother's three current children. I'm sure if it was possible my bro would give over the fourth "on the way" child but that might just be pushing it.
Part of me is glad the kiddos will be out of the traditional system. A HUGE part of me is glad. Another tinier part of me resents the fact that whenever I have kids my mom sure as shit isn't even going to be able to babysit for an hour or two let alone just take the kids. Then ..well there's the tinier part still that is thinking, "NOOO MOM NOOOOOOO! RUN! RUN NOW! Run while you can still get away with not raising Jeff's kids for the next 18 years!"..
I mean, sure Jeff is joining/has joined the Army but really I just don't see my brother getting those kids back any time soon. Oh well. My mom desperately wants the babies out of the system of foster parents who keep trying to push to adopt the kids separately and so she'll fight tooth and nail for this. I wish them luck but man alive I just don't see any of this going well
